Jimmy Lancaster Welcomes You
Undeniable Talent

About Me
I am from the Ann Arbor, Michigan area. I am currently attending Ohio Northern University to pursue a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. I have one older and one younger brother. While all of the my siblings were very musical as children, I am the only one who pursued the arts as a career. In my free time I like to write, go on runs, play board games, and play D&D with my older brother and friends. I eventually want to go to graduate school and become a professor, but I am currently looking to move to the Chicago area to pursue theatre.

The Artist
What I Offer

Actor
Committed to Excellence
I am first and foremost an actor. I am committed to good work and pride myself on going deeper than what is at the surface of the page. Recently, I recently performed as Mr. in Sunday in the Park with George and will be performing in Beauty and the Beast this fall.
Singer
Exceeding Expectations
I started my singer's journey being classically trained, looking to tackle the opera world as a bass baritone. However, recently I have found a love for pop and musical theater music. Some of my favorite songs to sing are Accidentally in Love By the Counting Crows, Jacob From The Bible By Jacob Wesley Rodgers, and Time From Tuck Everlasting.
Writer
Personalized Approach
I have found a real passion for writing and in my free time I have written songs such as I'm On Top, plays such as The Fruit of the Spirit, poems such as Dirt, and is looking to publish my short story, Gays Go To Hell. While I like writing stories about many topics, I mainly write about queer topics. Currently I am writing a short story collection titled The Moral Dilemmas of Body Downloading.

Dr. Joseph Cardin
Dr. Joseph Cardin was a turning point in my acting career. The Children's Hour taught me the power that words have. How a rumor can ruin someone's life. This show gave me the power to increase Queer Representation in a conservative community.

Genie
The Genie was an iconic role that allowed me to combine my ability to Sing, Act, and Dance in a high energy performance. Having all of the focus on me was truly exhilarating, and having the support of my fellow castmates was a made me feel I could tackle anything.

BFA in Musical Theatre From Ohio Northern University
I am pursuing a four year BFA Program and a minor in Music from Ohio Northern University. While here I participated in acting, dance, singing, composition, song writing, and play writing. In addition to the opportunity to act and learn, I also had the opportunity to direct and be a dramaturge. It has given me a well rounded education, that will let me tackle anything.
